Timeless Country Styled Kitchen in Cream and White Painted Timber

A modern kitchen with a country theme in keeping with the theme of the home.

Using a very simple color scheme makes for a light bright, calm and expansive room.

The Georgian or Palladian windows are reflected in the kitchen's cabinetry allowing interesting or decorative crockery to be displayed while still being stored.

The simple preparation area in this kitchen is the large central island with storage below.

A large workbench with faucet and sink for washing food. Sensibly the cooking line is recessed into the joinery with a very large extraction system able to remove odors and vapors. (Note when planning your kitchen always get the larger sized extraction system and always allow for make up air close by to help make it efficient.)

I especially like the amount of room in the kitchen allowing for three work areas of preparation, cleaning and cooking to all be separate, great if you entertain for a lot.

The blonde timber floor with cream walls and white painted joinery give an overall monochromatic color scheme which really allows you to see the detail in the cabinetry and anything that is added as a feature will surely be a focal point with such a simple backdrop.

The use of stainless steel kitchen appliances provides a crisp clean functional look to the work areas.

The timber wainscot look to the kitchen island and lower cabinetry adds subtle detail and provides the country feel. The use of small simple hardware to the drawers and cupboards means that the overall expansive look is not detracted from.

This kitchen is timeless and designed in a very functional way for it's purpose as a large kitchen with the work areas grouped together to reduce walking time between functions.

I think that this style of kitchen is a good investment in a home as the look can easily be updated with the simple use of change of color to the paintwork of the walls, add patterned or colored blinds to the windows, the addition of colored crockery collections or colored glassware collections, or even simpler some utility jars on the counter tops!

This kitchen feels very homely to me and I think that I can smell the homemade bread cooking in the oven as I write!
